Abstract
The objective of this research study was to determine the relationship between the motivation of achievement and the resolution of problems with linear functions of the students of Foundations of Calculus for the afternoon course of the Faculty of Business at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, 2017. This study was developed within a quantitative approach, with a hypothetical deductive method and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 76 students of Foundations of Calculus from the Faculty of Business of the aforementioned university. The results show that there is no direct and significant relationship between the motivation of achievement and the resolution of problems with linear functions of the students surveyed. This further showed that the competency to solve problems does not depend on motivation, but rather requires knowledge and skills that are put into practice.

Abstract
We sought to determine the influence of the administrative competences developed by the directors on the quality of the educational service offered by the educational institutions of the initial level in the UGEL 7. This study is within the positivist model and is basic-substantive with an explanatory level and a transversal and nonexperimental design. There were 155 teachers from the initial level who made up a random, simple probabilistic sample. Two scales of opinion or perception were applied as instruments for data collection whose validity and reliability were previously established; the data were processed statistically by regression analysis. It was found that 71.3% of the initial teachers perceived that administrative competences had been developed in the directors of the district IEIs and that 85% of the initial teachers perceive that the service they provide in their school is of high quality and for 12.5% the service is of quality, concluding that the influence of the administrative abilities of the directors was 45.63% and on the perception of high quality in the service provided in the educational institutions of the initial level of the UGEL 07.

Abstract
The objective of the present research was to characterize the mathematical reasoning skills in children with ADHD between 7 and 9 years old. The study begins with the conception of children with special needs and an anthropological research is carried out in perspectives of the actor on mathematical reasoning skills and interviews of their three teachers about their difficulties, alterations and disorders. The research method is an ethnographic fieldwork. The results show lack of mathematical skills specifically in numerical calculation; observing disorder, combination of simultaneous operation between addition and subtraction, attention deficit during the reading of a problem so they fail to systematize, identify data for algorithmic operations

Abstract
This research study's objective is to determine the predominant dimension in the emotional quotient of the Business Management and Administration students of a private university of Peru. The research was substantive, non-experimental, descriptiveexplanatory and cross-sectional. The instrument used to evaluate the variable was the of Emotional Quotient questionnaire (Cooper & Sawaf, 1997), which is composed of 262 questions, and it was applied on a sample of 86 university students. The results show that the values and beliefs dimension (B = 1.814) has a higher coefficient and, thus, contributes more to the emotional quotient of the students analyzed. This dominant part of the results of the dimension presented an odds ratio (Exp(B)) = 6.134, which shows that this is a dimension of risk, which would lead a student to have 6.134 times greater possibility of presenting low levels of emotional quotient with respect to another with high levels of emotional quotient because of the dimension values and beliefs.

Abstract
This research was carried out to design tutorials on the care of undeveloped social skills of university students, through which they express their needs, feelings, preferences, opinions and rights, respecting others and as a consequence self-reinforcement is observed and the probability of obtaining external reinforcement is maximized. The study was approached from the interpretive paradigm, qualitative approach, the projective-holistic method as a systematic process. Diagnostic information was collected from students and tutors, through interviews and focus groups, focused on behavioral, personal and situational skills. From all of this, categories and subcategories were identified that allowed choosing strategies to meet the needs. As a result, it was demonstrated that social skills, an important aspect for insertion and work performance, have not been developed despite the existence of the accompaniment of tutors. Also, the strategies used in the tutorial actions are not adequate; therefore, they must be modified. Also, it was concluded that university institutions must carry out planning processes for tutorials after diagnosis.

Abstract
The use of concrete made with recycled materials allows an alternative in the optimization and considerable reduction of resources during the manufacturing process of the components. The resistance to compression and bending in concrete of 210 Kg/cm2 modified with plastifying additive at ages 7, 14 and 28 days were evaluated using recycled rubber of 5, 10 and 15% in its composition. Three experimental groups were included, with plasticizing admixture and recycled rubber, and two control groups, with and without plastifying additive. The resistance to compression reached maximum values of 218.45 Kg/cm2 and 212.33 Kg/cm2 at 5% and 10% rubber, respectively. As for the flexural strength, a maximum value of 81.86 Kg/cm2 was achieved for 10% rubber. The recycled rubber proved to be an excellent addition to be used in concrete mixtures despite the losses of mechanical strength, but by adding plastifying additive, it significantly improves making it possible to be incorporated into concrete up to 10%. By means of variance analysis with significance of 5%, it is concluded that the percentage of recycled rubber has a significant effect on the resistance to compression and bending in the manufacture of modified concrete with plastifying additive.

Abstract
Mind maps are usually employed by teachers from all the educational levels as powerful learning strategies. This use enables important pedagogic achievements, but they do not exceed their maximum level, due to the dogmatic use of Tony Buzan's mind map (1996). Situation that would be different if it were entirely internalized, understand and applied. Precisely for that reason, the triarchic theory of intelligence developed by Rober Sternberg (1985) allows students to make decisions in several difficult situations with the suitable use of techniques and orientations in the development of the same intelligence. The research was developed by means of the case study from the qualitative focus, in which through the analysis of the evidences found and the use of an instrument that measured the successful intelligence, its development could be confirmed. However, the empiric analysis was not enough for validating the aforementioned development. For that reason, direct observation was chosen during learning sessions accomplished by the teacher responsible for the strategy to be used, and embodied in the field notebook. Likewise, in-depth interviews were conducted by educational psychologists. It should be noted that the analyzed documents have allowed developing the triangulation not only of evidences but also of methodologies, among them the documentary analysis, in order to reach conclusions that demonstrate how the development of the successful intelligence has been achieved. Finally, it is demonstrated than the use of the techniques of the mind maps with an educational strategy adapted to the applied group, achieves the significant development of the abilities of the analytical, creative and practical intelligence.

Abstract
Introduction: In the approach of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis, the therapeutic abandonment constitutes a serious problem of public health, affecting the quality of life of patients, families and community. Addressing it poses a burden on health systems, because it causes free sources of transmission in the community, and increases in prevalence and mortality. Hence the need to investigate those factors associated with this situation. Objective: To identify risk factors associated with treatment default in patients with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis in the Callao-Peru region. Materials and methods: Analytical case-control study (cases = 80 and controls = 180) that started treatment from January 01, 2010 to December 31, 2012. The factors were identified by logistic regression, calculating the odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals. Results: Finding risk factors in the multivariate analysis: Not having knowledge of the disease, OR aj = 23.10 [95% CI, 3.6-36.79; (p .002)], Do not believe in healing, OR aj = 117.34 [95% CI 13.57-124.6; (p .000)]; Not having social support, OR aj = 19.16 [95% CI 1.32-27.77; (p .030)]; Do not consider adequate working hours, OR aj = 78.13 [IC95% 4.84-125.97; (p .002)]; Do not receive laboratory reports, OR aj = 46.13 [95% CI 2.85-74.77; (p .007)] Conclusions: Health services should direct efforts for the early identification of conditions that could become risk factors, which would help preventively implement effective, rapid and high-impact interventions. © 2019 Instituto Nacional de Salud.

Abstract
The purpose of the article was to develop a methodology for evaluating performance of e-mail servers and to compare the performance of e-mail servers based on free software (freeware and open source software) with the performance of payment licensed e-mail servers, with an integrated focus. For obtaining this purpose, a descriptive and experimental study was developed, which population included 33 e-mail servers. Two e-mail servers with free license (Sendmail and Postfix) and two e-mail servers with payment license (Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino) were compared. For evaluating the performance (antispam capacity, antivirus filtering, and server resource consumption), special applications for that purpose were used. Finally, it was determined that the two products of e-mail servers implemented with free software (Sendmail and Postfix) had higher performance than the two licensed e-mail servers (Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino) which were implemented, under the conditions given in this research.
